Please note the following general requirements for horseriding at Slickers properties:
Bookings. Bookings are essential. Please refer to the contact details. Please note that horse riding can be a physically demanding activity. At the time of the booking, you must provide details including any medical conditions for each rider.
Medical Conditions. For some medical conditions, we may insist on a GP or Medical Specialist’s letter of clearance before we accept a booking.
Special Needs including Neurodiversity.
With the exception of adult one on one lessons all activities are group activities and the safety of ALL riders is paramount. Slickers Horseriding staff are not specially trained to accomodate certain levels of neurodiversity and any rider requiring individual attention and/or a carer, may be ineligible to partake in a group activity.
Arrival . Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your allocated activity time unless otherwise stated.
Riders are required to sign an indemnity form before riding. Children need to be signed in by a parent or guardian.
Helmets are supplied and must be worn.
Weight limits may apply. They may vary depending on horse availability and the length of the ride. See below for details.
Appropriate Clothing. Please wear appropriate clothing. Fully enclosed footwear must be worn. Long pants must also be worn. It is recommended that a collared shirt and long sleeves also be worn.
Ocean View Specific Conditions. At Ocean View property the minimum age is 10 years, the minimum weight is 30 kg and the minimum height is 122 cms. A maximum weight of 110 kg also applies; but if weight is more than 95 kg, the height must be over 172 cm.
Kurwongbah Special Conditions. At Kurwongbah, minimum height is 122cm. Maximum weight is 100kg with special conditions applying – please talk to the offfice to discuss them.
Kurwongbah Minimum Ages – for Kids Club 9 years; for School Holiday program 10 years, however if the child does have Kids Club experience, then 9 year may apply. Trail rides – 7 years for the 1 hr ride; 9 years for 1.5 hr ride.
